
Dr Bukhosi is a healthcare strategist and physician with over 20 years of experience spanning inpatient medicine, outpatient care integration, and executive leadership. His expertise lies in healthcare strategy, capacity building, and health system integration, with a strong focus on expanding service utilization, value-based care (VBC), and data-driven healthcare delivery.
Dr Bukhosi has successfully led initiatives that enhance healthcare access, improve population health outcomes, and shape public health policy at both local and national levels. His work is informed by extensive experience in low- and middle-income countries, where he has developed and implemented equitable healthcare models.
His expertise extends to designing syndetic-focused healthcare models that address the intersections of HIV, STIs, substance use, and mental health disorders. He also played a pivotal role in eliminating racial disparities in vaccination rates, leading Oregon to achieve the highest COVID-19 vaccination rates among Black communities in the U.S.
Dr Bukhosi’s work is rooted in strategic planning, cross-sector collaboration, and policy development, ensuring sustainable healthcare solutions that drive meaningful impact. His contributions to global healthcare equity include co-authoring research on cellular gene therapy access in Africa.
