
Dr DJ is a distinguished expert in clinical safety and Health Tech with 35 years of extensive experience in healthcare coupled with a background in computer science and advisory roles. His academic credentials include FRCEM in Emergency Medicine, MCFI in Clinical Informatics, BMedSci in Public Health, and an MA in Computer Science from Cambridge University.
Throughout his career, Dr DJ has held executive roles, including CEO of Careful Systems, Group MD at Aspen Healthcare, and VP of Medical Affairs at UFH in China. He has amassed a wealth of NHS experience, having worked at institutions such as Homerton Hospital, Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust, and University College London Hospitals (UCLH).
In addition to his executive roles, Dr DJ has served as a Clinical Advisor to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and held advisory positions with the UK Department of Health, PW, and KPMG. He is the architect of the award-winning “STEP-up” patient safety culture improvement programme, aimed at advancing clinical safety practices.
Dr DJ is an accomplished author of the book “Careful Leadership: How Your Leadership Can Create Safe, Compassionate, and Effective Healthcare”.
