Throughout her career, Dr Marisa has held scientific advisory positions at esteemed institutions
such as the Department of Health, where she served as Section Head of Diagnostics, and Acacium Group, where she held the position of Chief Scientist. Her expertise in diagnostics and pathology has been further demonstrated through operational roles, including her tenure as Group Director of Pathology at BMI Healthcare.
In addition to her advisory and operational roles, Dr Marisa has served on the Board of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, holding positions as Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Quality Committee. Her commercial experience includes roles with leading healthcare companies such as Unilabs and SYNLAB.
Dr Marisa’s academic background as a Biomedical Scientist, coupled with her Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology, underscores her deep understanding of the scientific principles underlying diagnostics and pathology.
